Our Wild Story
We officially launched Adventure Yards in 2025, but the seed was planted long before. Ryan had been building trails with a local land trust, bringing his love of the outdoors into his work — and into our family’s everyday life. Meanwhile, Liz was planting the beginnings of a native landscaping business while raising our boys and imagining new ways to help people connect with their land.
As we watched our kids fall in love with the trails and natural spaces we’d built at home, our ideas started to converge. What if we combined ecological design, natural play, and sustainable trails into one business? What if we could offer something that traditional landscaping didn’t?
So we took the leap — and Adventure Yards was born.
